Dr. Lese has most recently served as a consultant to TAPE, helping the firm to assess the optimal avenues for growth and the requirements to meet key challenges. In addition, he has been on TAPE’s board of advisors for several years. An accomplished executive and industry leader, Dr. Lese also served as Vice President of Northrop Grumman’s Information Technology’s Simulation, Analysis, and Training Systems (SATS) operating unit. Under his leadership, the business steadily grew, had revenues of more than $300 million annually, and maintained an extensive pipeline of new business.

Dr. Lese also has 32 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Defense. As a Deputy Assistant Secretary, Program Analysis and Evaluation, he was responsible for analyses of force structure and weapons systems decisions impacting $150 billion of the U.S. Defense Department budget. Dr. Lese also served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as Director, Land Forces Division, Program Analysis and Evaluation, where he was responsible for the allocation and integration of $85 billion in Army and Marine Corps programs.

Aberdeen, MD – TAPE, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned Small Business, has been approved to support the U.S. Army under a $400 million research and development contract at Aberdeen Proving Ground. TAPE is now eligible to bid on a range of task orders for individual projects.

The contract was awarded by the Army Research Laboratory (ARL), which develops and supports new concepts for application of advanced technology for Special Operations Forces and other military customers. The principal focus of these customers is to counteract and defeat the growing worldwide terrorist threat.

TAPE, supported by a team of subcontractors, is one of seven companies awarded prime contracts for ARL’s five-year, $400 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity program. The company will support the timely application of advanced technology against this threat. These technologies include: communications; information technology; electronics and displays; robotics and automation; tactical power; sensors; remote control systems; situational awareness; force protection; and materials development.

As a prime contractor, TAPE is the agile systems integrator for subcontractors, including BAE Systems, BrightPlanet, CGI Federal, CUBIC, iGov, L-3 Communications, LogIT, MKS, MSTI, SimiGon, ORSA Corporation, Quicksilver, and VRC Corporation.
