“TAPE personnel were also able to develop complex modeling tools that allowed the Senior [Agency] Leadership and OSD to conduct multiple, concurrent cost benefit analysis scenarios as [Agency] Aviation underwent significant force structure changes.”
— Defense Customer
Given the enormous complexity of today’s traditional and asymmetric threat environments and the speed at which many of these threats emerge, it is of critical importance that war and security planners have a comprehensive understanding of what is needed to predict, prepare for, and defend against such dangers.
Toward those ends TAPE has developed a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) program capable of fully mapping out our customers’ requirements and capabilities necessary for dealing with such threats.
From back office planning, management, and budgeting to front-line warfighting and network-based cyber attacks, TAPE can model and simulate the kinds of real-world contingencies likely to face today’s Defense and Federal agencies.
It is no secret that DoD, Homeland Security, TSA, FAA, and every other major government organization depend heavily on their information networks both for internal operations as well as interoperability with domestic and foreign agencies. As such, it is of paramount importance that any potential vulnerabilities in these networks be discovered and rectified before a hostile cyber attack.
TAPE’s M&S program is uniquely designed to fully simulate these networks and their operational data and then to model a virtually endless variety of attacks against these systems in order to detect areas susceptible to attack.
From mainstream air, land, and sea engagements to asymmetric threats from terrorist groups to peacetime training, program management, budgeting and planning, TAPE is able to conduct real-time simulations of these activities and model for an endless number of different outcomes. TAPE also simulates the likely outcomes of budget-cutting efforts on real-world operations.
The very core of modeling and simulation is preparedness, and no military or federal activity is more crucial to preparedness than training. Regardless of the agency – DoD, Homeland Security, FAA, etc. – training is a critical necessity to their operations.
TAPE has expertise in conducting M&S activities for training purposes. Whether preparing pilots or ground forces for combat situations; simulating targeted special forces engagements; or strategic modeling of planning, programming and budgeting efforts, TAPE gives our customers a crystal-clear understanding of their existing – and projected – capabilities and requirements.
