Technical and Project Engineering (TAPE) offers its employees a wide range of quality benefits. 1. Health Insurance Program
- Insurer: United Healthcare
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first of the month following 30 days of continuous active employment
TAPE provides eligible employees and their dependents with access to medical insurance through a group insurance program. Group medical, hospitalization & prescription drug insurance is provided by United Healthcare's PPO option. Technical and Project Engineering, LLC. Pays the equivalent of 50% of coverage levels for regular full-time employees. This coverage includes Medical, Hospitalization, and Prescription Drug Coverage.
Using the PPO with in-network physicians a $10 co-payment is required for primary care physicians. Benefits payable out of the PPO network are covered at 80%. There is no deductible in-plan; out-of-plan deductible is $300 per individual or $600 per family. Coverage is provided for outpatient prescription drugs with the use of a prescription drug card through United Health Care.
There is a minimum co-payment of $10 on tier 2 prescriptions, and $35 on tier 3 prescriptions.
2. Dental Plan Coverage
- Insurer: Delta Dental
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first of the month following 30 days of continuous active employment
TAPE offers eligible employees group dental coverage through Delta Dental paying the equivalent of 50% of the premium cost. The Dental Plan features a $50 calendar year deductible with a $1,500 calendar year maximum. The Plan's deductible does not apply for Preventative Care.
3. Long Term Disability Insurance
- Provider: Sun Life Financial
- Allocation: Company will pay 100%
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first of the month following 30 days of continuous active employment
TAPE provides eligible employees with the financial protection of a long-term disability plan through Sun Life Financial. TAPE pays the entire cost of the premium for this coverage.
4. Life Insurance
- Provider: United Healthcare
- Allocation: Company will pay 100%
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first of the month following 30 days of continuous active employment
TAPE offers eligible employees with the financial protection of a life insurance through Sun Life Financial. TAPE pays the entire cost of the premium for this coverage.
5. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Provider: Sun Life Financial
- Allocation: Company will pay 100%
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first of the month following 30 days of continuous active employment
TAPE provides eligible employees with a valuable EAP and work-life services, including information, resources and creative solutions that address personal life challenges and improve workplace productivity and performance
Included are services such as:
- Guidance Coordinator to refer callers to local counselors or other resources for relationships, job pressures, problems with children, marital conflicts, substance abuse, stress, anxiety and/or depression.
- Toll-free phone line staffed with experience clinicians with advance degrees, available 24/7.
- Online guidance resources: Through a password-protected web site, employees and their families can access thousands of expert-reviewed articles and videos to help with personal, legal, and financial concerns.
- Family Sources; Legal Connect; Financial Connect; and Estate Guidance are also part of this EAP program.
6. Flexible Spending Account
- Administrator: MHM Resources Inc.
- Allocation: Employee determines amount for FSA withholds
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first day of employment
Employees may select any or all of the options as coverage under this Plan. These coverage options are treated as pre-tax withholding amounts which save the employee the income tax and FICA tax on amounts that are withheld. The options include:
- Medical expense reimbursement amounts of up to $5,000 per year
- Dependent care assistance of up to $5,000 per year.
Amounts are withheld in equal amounts for each payroll period throughout the calendar year.
7. Identity Theft Protection
- Administrator: Kroll Background America
- Allocation: Employee responsible for entire amount
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first day of employment
TAPE will make available to all employees valuable voluntary benefits. Identity Theft Protection is a valuable program which will provide three key benefits.
- Evaluation of Current Credit Standing through Experian and up to date credit report will be provided to you. Also a personal credit score will be calculated through an independent scoring service. These items are provided to help you evaluate your current credit and make sure everything is in order.
- Continuous Credit Monitoring :Suspicious activity will be brought to your attention, providing you with early detection. You will receive prompt notice if the credit repository is notified by Experian that activity is taking place in any number of accounts or records.
- Identity Restoration:Identity theft can be devastating, and the process of restoring your name can be overwhelming and costly. With this plan you will have trained experts who will take the steps to restore your name and credit for you.
8. Pre-Paid Legal Services
- Administrator: Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc.
- Allocation: Employee responsible for entire amount
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first day of employment
TAPE will make available to all employees valuable voluntary benefits. Pre-Paid Legal Services provides legal services that will make a difference in your life and the lives of your immediate family members.
You can not be cancelled for any reason other than non-payment or fraud, and preexisting conditions are covered under preventive legal services and at a rate of 25% off of the standard hourly rate. This coverage provides four main areas of coverage at no cost to the member other than the small monthly rate.
The four main areas of coverage are
- Preventive Legal Services
- Motor Vehicle Legal Expense Services
- Trial Defense Services
- IRS audit Legal Services. And all other legal service falls under the discounted hourly rate category
9. 401 K
- Administrator: Principal
- Allocation: TAPE's matching contribution, when paid, immediately vests with Employee. Employee will receive matching up to 4% for 5% or more employee contribution.
- Eligible Date: Employees are eligible the first enrollment period following three months of continuous active employment .
TAPE will make available to all eligible employees a 401K retirement savings plan through the Principal Financial Group. All employee contributions will be pre-tax and deducted directly from payroll by Payroll Network payroll services. TAPE will match up to 4% against Employee contributions of 5% or more, payable after the end of the calendar year. Employer contributions are immediately vested when paid to Employee's 401(k) plan.
All growth of investments within the 401K plan will be tax deferred. Employees will be able to choose their own investment allocations from 15 mutual funds ranging from Growth Funds to conservative Money Market funds.
10. Vacation Leave
- Length of Service: Rate of Accrual
- Up to 3 years: 10 days (3.34 hours per pay period)
- Greater than 3 years up to 10 years: 15 days (5 hours per pay period)
- Greater than 10 years: 20 days (6.67 hours per pay period)
You can accumulate up to double your current allowable maximum days, after which additional amounts would be lost.
11. Sick Leave
You will accrue up to 5 days of sick leave each year (1.67 hours per pay period); and can accumulate up to maximum of 10 days.
12. Holidays
TAPE observes ten (10) paid holidays each year:

- The day after Thanksgiving Day
- Independence Day
- Christmas Day
